The Market Raffle

Each month, our generous producers donate goods to provide a huge basket of goodies, usually valued around $100. The proceeds from this raffle go towards the running and promoting of the Markets, ensuring their sustainability. Each Market, our valuable volunteers organise the goodies for the raffle and sell the raffle tickets.

The raffle is drawn at 11.30am and we endeavour to deliver the prize on the market day.

Winners from last two Markets:

November 21

The raffle today was won by A. Stannard who was delighted to collect a veritable feast of goodies- a wonderful prize so close to Christmas

October 23

Deanna Giumelli, a former Community Development Officer from the Shire of Capel, was this month's winner.  We figure this was an excellent example of 'karma' as Deanna was a true market friend during her time at the Shire and still keeps her finger on the market's pulse in her new position at South West Development Commission.

Volunteers Essential Part of Every Community

Without volunteers, communities throughout the world would not exist. A rather large claim perhaps but nonetheless true and the Boyanup and Districts Farmer’s Market is no exception. Without the very generous support of the volunteer committee, Boyanup would not enjoy the friendly and welcome environment the markets offer.

To raise funds a number of fundraising activities are coordinated each month, which include the hamper raffle, sausage sizzle and sale of potatoes. With these funds the committee promotes the market, pays insurance and covers expenses such as the purchase of equipment and all essential items toward the running of an effective event.

New volunteers are needed so if you would like to help on any of the fundraising stalls, on either a regular basis or as a one off please contact Anne  on 0448 806 833.
