Linnette Downton and Emily Jendrzejak are sisters who share an enjoyment of and a passion for cooking but not just any old thing thrown together. Linnette said “We like to present a product that is not only welcoming to the eye but is also palatable and enjoyable to the tastebuds “ and this philosophy is reflected in the quality of the tasty cakes and slices they sell at the Boyanup Farmers’ Market. Both Cake Ladies have been involved in the hospitality industry for approximately 20 years, both in a voluntary basis and also as cooks in cafes and restaurants. They make a selection of cakes including Fruit Cakes, Apple Pies, Sponges, Carrot Cake, Chocolate Cake to Lemon Marshmallow Slice and lots more. Emily said that all their cakes, pies and slices were made using only the freshest ingredients and traditional recipes. These busy ladies are also available to cater for parties and functions on request.
